Sad to see it go, but a good friend got a ton of close ups of the place a few months back. :D
Cheers!

It was demolished in the last few weeks cuz if my memory serves me right (95% sure), it was still there on my trip at the end of December. I mainly remember having my attention distracted towards the large amount of cattle that were in the Bena coral beside it as I was driving by chasing a train down. I think I would have noticed it if it was gone.

It's at least still on Google Street view....for now....

Some of my videos were shot in that general direction (the wide-out iPhone shots) from Sandcut, but a zoom-in magnification of the videos shows that too much cloudy-rainy haze was in the air in the distance to make out if it was still there or not.

To keep things in sync, and also that a cumulative update would have been excessive in size, a new full build of Tehachapi Pass is available for download. Changes include:

  • Corrected track in Mojave, Tehachapi and Arvin
  • Additional road models and textures added
  • Updated terrain and model winter textures
  • Added additional vehicle models
  • Model and textures added in Bakersfield
  • Added ballast to ROW between Mojave and Tehachapi
  • Added additional environment textures
Please let me know if you run into any issues.
Cheers!

Just did some test runs for some reason how the cars are not showing up on the roads. Also not all of the quick drives are working.

The vehicles should show - you guys have what I have (hence the full build), and they show fine here.

As for quick drives, I can't guarantee that any previously created scenarios will work - I had to fix a couple of serious issues with the track.
Cheers!

Hey Marc!

Loving this route so far! It is always an added enjoyment when I return from sea, to download the cumulative download, and see what is new. I was running the latest today, and I noticed the signals "white out", when you approach them......it might have already been said, but I thought I would share the observation, as well as a few other screens! Thanks, and keep up the great work! This was money well spent!

Best Regards,

Galen

The signals white-out due to the way headlights affect objects. I haven't found a good balance between a decent-looking object and one that doesn't bleach when light is shined upon it.

Now ground has only one yellow beige colour. Are you plan add green ground texture like grass?

It is a desert.

Change the season to spring or winter, and the ground cover is greener.
