Thanks for your kind and encouraging comments. :D

There is an interior, but not super-detailed. Its main purpose will be to make the car look good when seen from the outside (the engineer isn't supposed to be riding in the coach anyway while the train is running *!greengrin!* ). We may add a proper passenger-view camera at some point, but currently our main priority is on the route and scenarios, including the next extension to Hartford. Passenger traffic will be more interested on version 2 anyway, so maybe we can do something about passenger views by then.

A Steam release is at the moment not planned and highly likely also impossible due to the way we set up the route to be released in three or more expansions.

Another update to the VNHRR blog - and 2 variants of the heavyweights **!!bow!!**

Any chance of a teaser pic of the steam facilities *!question!*

I have 5 days off over Xmas and I hope, if I am very good and promise to behave, that the fat man in the red suit might just have a Ver 1.0 and all the goodies to while away the hours *!lol!*

*!!thnx!!*

!*cheers*!

Hi everyone,

That heavyweight is looking very nice! I only have two suggestions, which are to:

1. Darken the interior--especially the walls--a bit. Although the wood paneling may well have been that light shade of beige on the prototype, the car's interior would have been dimly lit compared to the bright sunlight outside; therefore, the interior of the car would have appeared much darker when viewed from outside. It would be cool if you could add a reflection shader to the windows to enhance the effect, but I'm not sure that's really feasible in Railworks, and

2. Darken up the underbody of the car, especially the center sill and components towards the center of the car. No direct light would have ever reached most of the components on the underbody, meaning that the occluded surfaces should appear darker, and the car probably would have picked up a fair bit of grime during its travels, even if the sides were kept clean.

But that's just my **!!2cents!!** ! This project is looking really great and I wish you success as you continue developing your products.

Thanks,

Eliot

Michael

The three standard scenarios that are bundled with VNHRR v0.9 release use the Kuju ACF Chair Car Passenger Coach in SouPac livery. Where can we obtain a New Haven repaint for this Kuju asset to make an authentic looking NH Communter Express train?

According to the blog, Ver 1.0 is now at beta testing stage, so baring meteor strike or Godzilla, release should be quite soon. Given the quality and attention to detail, I cant see too much emerging that was unknown in 0.9 !*brav*!

Budd's to follow as separate DLC

The blog says that most of the rolling stock has been shown. Will there be reefers?

If you have the Pennsy P-70 that came with the GG-1 and/or HSC, that would be a good interim substitute. P-70s and other Pennsy equipment saw frequent service on the Springfield Line back when there were still through trains to and from Penn Station. The B-60 baggage car was also well-known in southern New England, mostly in Railway Express Agency service.
