@buzz,
Very good edit on the C424.
We all know that auto-drive locos are the “wave of the future” *!lol!*

It would be nice to see this loco in B&O/C&O and Western Maryland reskins.

This is from the crew on Feather River. Still looking around at what the options are.

More on this. These characters have been used all over the place so I'm going to put a placeholder folder in this patch and everyone can find the same 'Driver' folder from any number of places and just insert it into the C424 folder. That way I won't be violating the use of someone else GeoPcDx because you would need it from elsewhere but not have to go to the nuisance of having to check off another asset from somewhere.

None of those roads had C424s or the slightly upgraded C425. However the Pennsy, New Haven, and Erie Lackawanna, all of which have good representation in TS, did have them, so I hope we see those sometime.

I'd also love to have a Livonia, Avon, and Lakeville C424

Yes, I am aware that these RRs didn't have these engines within their rosters, but it would still be interesting to have the C424 in these liveries for fictional purposes.

So many short lines ended up with c424's...

Here's a few just to ramble off:

Arkansas & Missouri (32, 34)

Belt Railway of Chicago (small roster)

Livonia Avon & Lakeville/Bath & Hammondsport/Western NY & Pennsylvania (421-424), 426, 435

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic RR 4241

GVT Rail system (Delaware Lackawanna) 2403 (formerly) and 2409 (2409 is a Wabash patch)

Adirondack Railroad 4243 (became Del-Lack 2403) and more recently Adirondack 2400).

Railroads generally didn't have a lot of any particular type of ALCo but a whole variety of big and small railroads had small quantities of them.

Personally I'd really like to see a BN skin.

They had 7 of them inherited from the SP&S 4240-4246

They actually were quite a big consumer of ALCo power from inherited railroads.

The SP&S also had sixteen of the upcoming C425's. I've not tried to contact the author; so I'm not sure if they have any plans for SP&S versions in the future, but the SP&S was definitely noted for it's Alco power.

After waiting all these years for a C424/5, I was anxious to do some SP&S and BN repaints, but right now I just don't have the time; that, and some of the texture files look like a 5,000 piece jig-saw puzzle. A monotone repaint is feasible, but color mapping all those nuts and bolts to place them correctly on a two-tone paint-job will take some time; and that's not including anything that might be double-mapped or shared between two different color zones. I'm certainly not complaining though; kudos to the author for putting that much detail into the model.

So Buzz, if you're going to do some multi-color jobs, I wish you all the best. It will be a pioneering effort, so I hope you'll keep us posted about all the little painting issues you run into along the way. Cheers! !*salute*!

For once, I don't have to modify the sounds. *!lol!*

Just a FYI He is going to do a EL and a MLW. One of these will have the headlight on the nose so I'm going to wait to do the CP and or CN until we see that version since they were configured that way.

The L&N and SAL had Alco C420s. I might reskin a C424 for my personal use.
