Now that I’m at home and using the big screen, the light is the overhead reading lamp on dim. It looked red on my phone. These newer engine when in an emergency brake application will turn the cab light red, kinda like a submarine, and that’s what I thought it was at first.

No, the screen is showing locomotive information. In this case, Tractive Effort (TE) and speed for each axle. These screens do not provide information like this for all power in the consist when MU’d other then warnings and alerts. When DPU’d they provide basic information. To access this specific screen you must be sitting in the hot seat of that engine.

Judging from how the windshield is and the sun cover, I would say this is a widecab of some sorts. Looks to shallow of a screen for a GE...
