From Wheel to Shiny Wheel

Unread postby GreatNortherner » Tue Jun 30, 2009 2:59 pm

Colleagues,

Available now: an updated model of my 50ft boxcars - including properly shiny wheels with a reflective metallic look.
Get them here: http://www.stephan-michael.de/railsim/

Here is a little video with the new cars and Dick Cowen's GP9:

Those who already got the older version can of course update for free, simply use the links I sent you after the purchase.

Some pictures of the cars, featuring Jessie's repaints from krs-digirails:

Thanks for the update. I have really enjoyed your box cars! Any chance for some 4 bay coal hoppers?

The shine looks great! How about tweaking the wheel profile into spec - I think the tread is a little wide and the flange is a bit big. On the default stock, it looks like they may have used an HO wheelset as a reference.
