We had some back and forth with Dovetail about this and decided to release it as a full DLC (including a brand new engine with it) but don't worry. We are pushing hard on this trying to get it out as quick as possible although I'm yet not allowed to say what the engine will be *!greengrin!*

Stay tuned tho

Maybe something in partnership with DTM such as the SD40 or SD45-2? *!rolleyes!*

No. We partnered up with Mike Rennie from Smokebox and will be doing this in-house.

EMD 16-645E3 powered? What engines still aren't modelled/announced that use this prime mover?
Elimination game, using this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMD_645:
Code: Select all
GP40, GP40-2, GP40P, GP40P-2, GP40TC, SD40, SD40A, SD40-2, SD40T-2, SDP40, SDP40F, F40PH

Apart from the cowl SDP40, all have been/will be done?

If you include the 16-645 sub designations, a nice candidate would be this loco:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPI_MPXpress, the MP36PH in Metra and MetroLink service that would fit several routes available.

Now, will the 16-645F sound different from a 645E, exhaust manifold, turbocharger(s), exhaust silencer, sound insulation, etc. all taken into account?

^Chicago Racetrack and Pacific Surfliner. ;)

If the MP36 is done, the Metrolink version should include Rotem cars, while the Metra version has another series of gallery cars not replicated in the game yet.

Keep guessing folks (; The only hint you get from me is this one: It's going to wear a coat of red.

Canadian Pacific SD40-2.
