Moving Empties

A scenario for the Putman-Barstow, San Bernadino, Mojave Route. (Original route created by Thomas Bontempo).   By Blue Light

Around 1912 the Southern Pacific Railroad built a branch line from Mojave north to Owenyo Cailfornia. It was called the "Jawbone Branch" as it ran through the Jawbone region of the Mojave Desert. In 1914 the Trona Railroad Company completed its 30 mile line southwest from Trona to Searles, California where it connected with the Southern Pacific. As of 1984 The Southern Pacific no longer serviced the line north of Searles. Today the Jawbone Branch is owned by the Union Pacific Railroad and it runs the 48 miles to Serales where it transfer freight with the Trona Railroad Company.

The scenario takes place in the present and your task is to pull 4200 feet of empty coal hoppers back to the Mojave Yard. Seeing that it is down hill most of the way, take care not to let the buff slip you into overspeed.

Installation Instructions:

1.Unzip the enclosed file to your computer's desktop or some other convenient location.

2.Find Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\utilities and run it.

3.Select the Package Manager tab.

4.Click on install, then navigate to the folder where you unzipped these files.

5.Select the .rwp file and click on open.

6.The package Manager will then install the scenario.

7.Verify that the file shows in the installed list on the left of the screen.
