The Thurmont and Branford is a small railroad set in Western New Hampshire

The Thurmont and Branford railroad is a small shortline in Mid-Western New Hampshire. The route used to go between it's two namesake cities, but now the line is cut. The route startes at the Interchange with Pan Am, where you bring the cars into the yard and engine facilities for their two locomotives, a B&M GE 44-tonner, and a B&M S2. The line goes to a building supply warehouse and fertilizer factory, cuts across a river, then diverges. The road to the right is the "Thurmont City Spur", a small branch made up of a former trolley line that starts near a Plastic pellets company, goes up a hill where a Wood products dealer is, then goes street running downtown where the railroad serves a Cold storage warehouse, a Food warehouse, a Scrapping company, and a Beverage company. Back at the switch by the river, the second track goes into the New Hampshire countryside, passing by forests and meadows, through a covered bridge, and stopping at a Paper Mill. It used to go further, but the line was sadly cut back. Industries here are the aforementioned Paper Mill, a Gravel pit, and a Furniture Outlet.
The line represented takes heavy inspiration from the Claremont and Concord railroad, a small shortline that is now only two miles long. In it's heyday, it had a very bucolic design, with street running and covered bridges, rolling farmlands, quiet forests, and busy downtowns, and that classical charm only New England could replicate.
