This is a Detroit Edison coal hopper based off the hoppers that roll through my town every day.
Greetings,
This is an older and one of my many first attempts at repaints, and this is turned out to be a successful one.
This is a Detroit Edison coal hopper based off of prototype photos and videos.
Background Information:
Detroit Edison (or DEEX) hoppers are used on trains between the Powder River Basin in Wyoming, and the Detroit Edison plant in Monroe, Michigan, traversing the BNSF until it reaches Chicago, where it (as of 2014) heads up the CSX and then up the CN on the final leg to Monroe.
Installation Instructions:
7-Zip is recommended for this process.
Open the file with 7-Zip, and open the RailsimulatorUSAssets.ap with it as well. Drag the coal hopper and drop the "DEEX" folder into the RailVehicles\Freight\CoalHopper folder. You should be ready to go.
This is a repaint of the default coal hopper, so no drag-and-dropping of the GEOPCDX files into the folder.
Please remember even those this file is free, the author still has rights to the file. Be sure to read the readme that is enclosed for further copyright information and instructions to install the file.
