Forest Land English Localisation files
Included in this pack are two Excel Spreadsheet documents with both Russian and English language columns. Installing this file will change the Russian labels, descriptions, and instrutions for the Route and Scenarios to English. I've included two files. In the UK version, I've changed "cars" to "wagons" and "Classification" to "Marshalling." :-) I'm an American railroader, and so don't really know the correct terminology for UK railroading. It is easy enough for you to make further changes if you desire as long as you have a program for editing Excel spreadsheets. You'll find all the text in the "en" column and can make any changes to that text that you wish.
INSTALLATION: Unzip this file into a temporary folder or on to your desktop. Open TS2012. Click on the localization tab at the top. Expand and then check the “Forest Land” box in the left pane. Check the “en” and “ru” boxes in the middle pane, and then click the “Import XLS…” button on the right hand side. Some text will appear in the pane that is blank in the picture above commenting on duplicate text. That’s fine. It’s because there are separate text entries for the same route labels in a couple of the scenarios. Close down TS2012 when it has finished and then restart it. You will now have English instead of Russian and will know what to do and where to go in the scenarios.
DISCLAIMER: I'm offering these files with the permission of the route author, Vitaly Sokov, aka Maestro, and with the permission of the creator of Railroadsim.net, Andrey Podlesnyy, aka Mr. Angelo. I believe I have translated all the Russian correctly, but I don't actually speak Russian. All the translations should guide you correctly as you run the scenarios and route.
Please remember even those this file is free, the author still has rights to the file. Be sure to read the readme that is enclosed for further copyright information and instructions to install the file.
