This is a repaint of the RSC/DTG Kawasaki M8 to "represent" a Metro North M7A

Some essential M8 .GEOPCDX files omitted from this repaint for security.

This repaint has been made to give a "REPRESENTATION" of the MTA Metro North Railroad M7A EMU.

It cannot be 100% accurate as the Kawasaki M8 differs in many ways to the Bombardier M7A.

The M7A is a 750 volt Third Rail only unit and so it does not have a pantograph. Therefore I have chosen to repaint only the Third Rail versions of the M8 (T prefix, see manual). The "preload" consists included, use only the "B " units, i.e. those without pantographs. I recommend that, for improved realism, you use only the non panto units in your own consists. This does mean however that there will be no passenger view in such consists, as the passenger view is ailiased to the "A" non panto. units.If you require a passenger view for a scenario, you will have to include at least one "A" pantograph car in your driven consist. There is a custom interior/passengerview with "representative" Metro North Harlem/Hudson Line colours. The preloaded consists will work in Quick Drive scenarios, but will only load for Quick Drives on sections of the route equipped with Third Rail electrification. They should generate AI traffic as appropriate on the New York- New Haven route.
The M7A has custom 4xxx series numbers. There are some Metro North Hudson/Harlem Line destinations. M7As should be common (for realism) on the Grand Central-Yankees and Grand Central-Mount Vernon West sections of the New York-New Haven route.

k= Mount Vernon West, i=Wassaic, m=Yonkers, n=Croton-Harmon.

FOR LIRR M7 & M9 {not included}:
R=Long Island City, S=Jamaica, T= Ronkonkoma, U= Babylon, V= Atlantic Terminal, W= East Williston, X= Far Rockaway, Y= Long Beach, Z= Hempstead, a=East Williston, b= West hempstead, c= Port Washington, d= Huntington.

How to Install
...............

1. If you are reading this, you have already unzipped the downloaded file to a temporary location e.g. your desktop.

2. If you have not done so already, go to "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01" and unzip the file "M8Pack01Assets.ap" to the same location.

3. From your temporary location, copy the contents of the folder "PreLoad" and paste them into the folder "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/PreLoad".

4. From the tempory location, copy the folder "M7AMTN" and paste it into "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/RailVehicles/Electric".

5. From "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/RailVehicles/Electric/M8MTA/Engine" copy the GEOPCDX files "M8_A" and "M8_B" and paste them both into:
"Assets/RSC/M8Pack01/RailVehicles/Electric/M7AMTN/Engine".

6. Go to "Assets/RSC/M8Pack01" and delete the file "Blueprints.pak". This will not harm your installation.

5. Clear Cache!

That should be it !
