An update is now available for
all versions of ScaleRail (default, ATSF, SP, freeware and HR editions) that adds super elevation and other parameters for use in RailWorks. The files can be downloaded from the following thread at 3DTrains.com:
http://www.3dtrains.com/forums/index.ph ... opic=17128Some of the changed or added values include:
- Max cant angle degrees: 6
- Curve to angle percent: 10
- Line unevenness: 5
In order for SE to work properly you must have laid (or are in the process of laying) your track using easements curves. Otherwise, you may find strange and horrible kinks at the entrances and exits of curves. SE works best when using the "Passenger" line type, but its broad curvature makes it inconvenient in some circumstances. If you find you can't get the correct curvature, changing the "Mainline track limits, Min radius" value from "483" to "111" works great, and the line speed should be sufficient to give the desired results for most North American freight track types. If you're modeling a commuter line, increase the "Curve to angle percent" in the TrackRules from "10" to "30" or more.
Let me know if there are any issues with download and use of these files.
