Bob, have you got those "gadgets" on your desktop that show CPU and RAM usage? I use them and like them a lot (along with the weather gadget)

Strange you should ask about the gadgets. I was waiting on a dl the other night and decided to look see if there was anything new that struckmy eye and the MS site sadi we are not hosting gadgets anymore because we are working on Win 8 and thats more important, besides gadgets are a security risk.
No more Win 7 gadgets at MS.
No I do not have the two you are asking about either. Anyway to get them to me since MS doesn't have them any more?
arizonachris wrote:Win 7 has them by default. Right click on your desktop, choose gadgets.
Machinist wrote:Trevor, I guess it's a Win 7 feature. I have 3 pcs, with different CPUs and MB, and I can see the settings in all the the 3 rigs (one laptop, two desktops, one is an old Dual Core AMD).
Are you using pc as admin?
arizonachris wrote:Trev, any CPU can use this. Open your Control Panel, go to Performance Information and Tools. Now, on the left side, choose Adjust Power Settings. Choose Advanced settings, then click high performance. Done!
