Thanks for the compliments guys, I really do appreciate them :)

The switch station (signal box) is ready to go into an update of the Falmouth Branch. It has working everything (signal and switch levers, block instruments with moving indicator needles, bell code sounds, as well as the lights).

I'll be ready to see some more progress on this.

Here's a bit more ... the crosshead and cylinder piston, connected up to the main rod, and the drop link below the crosshead. I'll be finished with the motion soon.

Here's a short video I did of the motion, fully animated. Well, almost fully. There's just the reach rod, lifting arm, lifting link and weighshaft to add. They're the bits that will be connected to the reverser (cutoff) in the cab.

It's looking great.

For me it has been somewhat like a vacation with too much time off of work, so I've been working on some new skyscrapers.

I expect it might take me a while to learn how to build a locomotive.

I'm more of a steam fan then diesel, most times I just don't find much interest in a diesel locomotive.

Thanks :)

Personally, I like just about everything, but I've always favoured steam. I'll try to emulate the best of the steam loco models that have been produced so far, by making the operation of the controls as realistic as I can, within the limits of what RW allows me to do. I might do a simplified version if there's any demand for it. I've also thought about making a lower poly version for people with less powerful computers than the one I use. I also try to be careful about the texturing, so that it'll be fairly simple to do reskins.
