Kicking Horse Pass

Here's a some pics of my wip route Canadian Pacifics Kicking Horse Pass.
I've ground to a halt with it just now due to some major file problems and the route not loading. I've got 12 miles of track down so far and a small scenic section just for screen shots.
Hope you enjoy.
Roy.

Wow, will this route be freeware.

Looks like a route like this could change Railworks as we know it.

Thanks for the comments !!*ok*!!
Hopefully one day i'd be able to make it available as a freeware route. As far as i know i haven't used any payware assets on the route.
Once i find the file thats causing me the loading problems i'll get cracking on with it.
The route is following the original as best as i can make it but it is by no means going to be a mirror copy. I haven't got the gradiant profile for the line yet so i've just been trying to keep it a set height above the river bed which isn't easy with only 1arc second dem to work with. The only gradiant i do know so far is for the spiral tunnels but i've got a lot of track to lay before i reach Field.

Hi,

This is exciting news! Kicking Horse Pass is a spectacular route, it's nice to see it being modeled in RW. !*cheers*!

If RSC can make the water reflective, exactly why can't they make the mirrors on locomotives reflective??

Sorry for the slow reply, my Internet connection has been dodgy at best the past few months.
Looks like the routes problem is more to do with my pc spec than the game. Just to many trees to render so it's on the back burner now.
I've wondered about the mirrors before. I noticed on the widenose sd40 that the mirrors are see through.

My new route I've been working on the past few months is coming along nicely so I'll get some screen shots up next time I'm on my pc. Instead of mountain railroading I've now gone for the fast Amtraks and lazy branches of Lancaster County PA.

Looks good. I always did like MSTS's KHP. Looking forward to running it on RW3. How far East will it go?

I had the route and dem from Golden to Field with the loops then onto Banff.
I'm not sure when I'll get back to this route unfortunatly.
