I definitely agree! Not only do I think that the GEVOs are not only a beautiful looking locomotive, but I think the technology that was put into them is quite amazing!

Wouldn't that be the best option with all of RSC's stuff?

I know people love to bust on RSC, I do occasionally as well, but in all honesty I have only been let down a few times regarding DLC I have purchased right on release, one said example was Donner Pass. Maybe I am just easy to please and less critical !**conf**!

As far as a new unit I'd like to see, how about a U30C or a C30-7?

I second or third, U-Boats! U-Boats! where are the U-Boats?! *!lol!*

no, people these days just expect too much out of everything, the only thing i have ever been let down from RSC was donner pass but meh, its only $30, i couldn't imagine how much it would actualy cost to make that route in HO scale? maby multiply that 30 by 1000? see my point? expect less and you shall recieve more. !*salute*!

such a simple modification to the sd70mac car body. Wonder why they chose this as the next "big american loco" looks good though. I can think of 10 locos that american/canadian users would kill for. better keep it to myself *!twisted!*

What is wrong with the trucks, I just looked up some pics of an SD75 and see no major issues? I personally think it looks awesome so far and a definite buy for me! The cab lights are going to mess with my FPS though, thankfully though we will be able to turn them on and off.

Maybe a look at the real BNSF #8290 will help http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=1425701

I'll point out the obvious though .. !) look at the shock absorber positions ... 2) and they where never mounted in front of the bearing caps they where offset.

Great for model for facebook fans though *!lol!*

A bit aside of subject, but as Arctic noted... That's one among the big mistakes currently being used on cablights: they are casting shadows!!! and also usually too much bright (washed). In most of engines my fps drops almost 40% when I turn these sort of cablights on. Is worth to loose 40-50% of fps just to get some very few shadows of some few levers? In some locos the shadows you can see is around 2-5% of screen, does this justify the lost of 40% fps?! No way.... isn't worth anyway...

All of this on my average rig, of course those who have a high end rig won't bother if fps drops from 50 to 30... But sometimes we have to think on average users, or not?!?! Otherwise the choice is keep cablight off (as Arctic mentioned) like on Class 76, Class 08, and also while WH 8F's firebox is opened (another dropping 40% fps light with no gain on visible shadhows).

Anyway the SD75 cab is looking great, not doubt! !!*ok*!!

@ g_nash

I see what you are saying now! Thanks for clearing that up bud. Personally for me, that is a small issue, and will not take away from my enjoyment of the DLC, but of course it will be an issue for some understandably. Too bad there isn't a better way to notify RSC of these issues during the creation process. I just don't work with locomotives enough to spot out these differences, except for times volunteering at the PA Railroad Museum in Strasburg.

P.S. I am one of those facebook fans(I'm definitly easy to please!), I found out quick though that one cannot try to spread info or wisdom there, it gets jobbled up in non-sense. Now I just go on there for entertainment.

Wow. All this money in my Pay Pal account that RSC just doesn't seem to want. I haven't purchased anything from them since Horseshoe Curve came out. Niche locomotives that fit just one geographic area or railroad? What a waste. What happened to the locomotive building program over there? In early 2011, RSC was hitting home runs with the SD70, SW1500, and GP9 - locos that just about all RR's used and can still be found today. Then the well went dry. AEM-7? Nice for the 10 million people along the NEC but what about the other 310 million of us? GG1 and K4? Outdated, and again confined to one particular RR or area. Now the SD75. Looks a lot like a 70MAC, were as popular as crotch warts, and the last time I saw one on a prototype was ohh, two weeks from never. And the F40P? I've seen one in my whole life and it was dead heading to a scrap yard.

What is going on here? It's obvious in some ways that the Company knows that the money is in the masses, but in other ways, they don't seem to have a clue. Some fanboys will go out and buy every DLC that the company makes, no matter how lame, either because they are rabid railfans or they feel a patriotic duty to keep RSC in the black. Others won't or can't spend money on something thats going to sit in the digital shed as a novelty item because it would be unrealistic to skin it CSX. We know the company needs the money, so why go for base hits instead of a grand slam like a C307 or a route like Kicking Horse Pass?

Looks like it's going to be a long dry spell. Gonna go get some lemonade, kick back, and watch my wallet keep getting fatter.

No problem :D

Buy it if ya like it , but , if they put that CN cab in the BNSF or ATSF model you should ask for your money back .. because two wrongs will never make it right *!lol!*
