All I'd have would be the Eby drawings... I'm sure you have those already.

Well the basic model is already in the game so all I would need are the things I need to add such as numberboards, bell, horns, those side lamp things and so on !!*ok*!!

Very nice. There are a ton of good pictures on Google if you use 'EMD SW1' as the search criteria.

Also: Because we don't have an example of the single element headlight...

it would be a nice touch. The front actually had a brow like some steamers.

I have the lightbulb from one of those lights, in the original box too. If you need textures for a headlight like that, contact me. *!!wink!!* I have quite a few parts from SW1s/NW2s.

What specific parts do you need for your Amtrak units?

#743 (the SW1 earlier in the thread) is pretty much a standard model. It has the double lights and normal configuration. SO, nothing special.

The NW2s had the center windows blanked out with steel, but that's going to be a problem for Mr. Cowen, as it has to be done in the .geo.

THE BN #185 SW9 and the Lewis and Clark #211 SW1200f are uploaded. Both require the Kit 05 SW1200 Xtra pack payware from Britkits as well as the freeware Kit 05 SW1200 download.

The 211 is for the Lewis and Clark RR route that I'm working on. It's actually a leaser that the route uses, so it could be used most any place. I'm near a V1 release, that will be a nice switching scenario using that loco and the 81 SW8.

Latest project...

One of two, the 1157 will have the screaming eagle logo and look newly painted. Each will have an unmanned option.

Beautiful switchers! Great work Micheal, thank you!!!

Though I have to ask one thing after seeing the first MoPac engine -- sorry for straying off-topic a bit: why did and still do some railroads (PanAm comes to mind) paint their engine's trucks in the main body color? It does look interesting, but wouldn't the paint on the trucks get damaged or coated with dirt and oil in no time?

Cheers,
Michael

An excellent question for which I have no definitive answer. I do know Union Pacific painted their trucks silver to make inspections easier. My guess would be that they used the body color to have a distinctive look.
