That's also something that I'll have to figure out as well.

Anyways, what do you think of it so far.

Though, on this engine, the top speed was 70 miles per hour, so it will only be able to do 70 miles per hour in game.

For this model I hope to have animated controls that can be moved by mouse, but unfortunately the windows and doors won't be animated for this model, won't try that until later.

By the way, anyone know where I could get some gauge faces to use with the model, such as the speed gauge and pressure gauge, as well, anyone knows what kind of gauges a diesel locomotive has. When it comes to what kind of gauge I have no clue.

Are you asking me to count rivets? *!!wink!!*

One thing you can adjust are the ladder rungs. They are sticking out a bit too far. If you make them the same depth as the top hand rail then it should look better.

Well, redid the right side rings, now to do the left side and the back. This one now though is shorter to how it should be.

The forward and rear facing windows are too square (see my previous posting with a front on shot). I think if you narrow and then lengthen them by an inch or two it should look better.

I'll see what I can do, however though the windows are a little harder to edit then the ladder, but I'm sure I can get them to edit right.

You can just hold shift and select the lines on the bottom and use the move tool and it will bring the selected part up or down. I might make a video tutorial on some things tomorrow !!*ok*!!

Once I get the locomotive up and running in the game I'll release a free beta of it at my website.

Once I get the train into 3D Crafter I'm going to attempt to make a mold from the original then shape out a entirely new train just in Crafter using a Crafter block. If I'm successful it should slash down the poly level drastically.

How does the front window look now.

.....Well, bad news, the molding operation won't work in Crafter for this engine so I'll have to reduce the poly level the hard way. At the moment working on the truck to lower it down from 10000 poly.

The window looks much better. The overall porportion to the door is still a bit off, however you would need to compare it to the original picture to notice.

Honestly though, how much rivet counting is too far? Being that this is your first engine I think you are doing great!
