AP Weather Enhancement Pack

Unread postby AmericanSteam » Thu Jan 09, 2020 5:30 pm

I purchased this and have played around with it on the Montana Hi Line. I am running standard scenarios converted from career. On the BN switcher scenario, I noticed this giant moon. I tried everything to resize without success. I ended up unchecking AP in the route editor (did not change anything) and going back to the original TimeOfDay files.

Check Sun and Moon Radius/Scale and compare it with the other blueprint.

Thank you, I have not ever done editing in the blueprint editor before. I will need to ease into this a bit.

I have this same issue, and as far as I can tell it's not the moon, it's a large semi-transparent dome with the dark grey sky texture on it from the stormy weather pattern that slowly expands and then contracts. I'm not exactly sure what causes it, but I 'fixed' it by changing the weather pattern from one of the Hi-Line defaults to one of the ones from the AP set.

Thanks. I will retry later. I had HiLine weather set. Does this mean that you can only use the AP weather when installed?

1- AP EP has to be installed
2- Dynamic Lighting has to be checked and Dynamic clouds unchecked in the TS2020 Settings. EFX audio also checked for the thunders.
3- You have to copy/paste the four weather Assets\AP\WeatherEP\TimeOfDay from AP files to the route you want the AP EP to work (page 11).
4- AP has to be enabled for the route or scenario where you wish the AP weather variants.
5- You have to choose any of the APEP weather modes have to be chosen in scenario marker right flyer.

QD APEP modes choices will be as indicated in the manual.

I have not played much with APEP weather, but I have not found any graphics issue like that moon.

That's no moon. It's a space station.

I was thinking "Wall Cloud"

I think Matt is right as I don't see any craters and radial lines in the image.

From that POV it would actually be a planet and the photo would be taken on the moon of the planet.

I get the same issue using this weather pack on routes, specifically when dealing with the stormy weather:

Image

Best I can tell this is the darker stormy clouds transitioning in or out with the overcast. I can't figure out why its happening, even setting the scenario to use a static weather theme it still seems to happen.

I've searched high and low and have found a few posts on other forums where users report the same issue, but no solutions.
