Can anyone tell us how to replace the couplers using the ACF40ftBox.zip file? There is no batch file included with them.

Dick posted his replacement coupler file on his website. Here is the link:

Look for the replacement buckeye coupler picture on the right hand side below the new downloads promo picture.

Thanks for the excellent tip, and thanks to Dick for his fine couplers, and the many great add-on you have created.
I changed all couplers and am very pleased. Man-o-man, new freight car sounds,a few new routes, air hoses, new assets.
RW is looking real good. !*brav*!

I am in talks with Derek to get this stuff updated and fix up to the railworks models we have now. The defult freight cars we have are awfull and have fake road names on them. The ES44 Models are wrong along with the wrong sounds. Let me know what you guys think of the defult stuff we have for railworks.

Yes, the ES44 does need updating, badly - as do the default SD40-2 locos. The addon SD40-2s are all of a much better quality I feel!

If the RSDL Wagons addon pack is not free by now, it should be. There should also be some US wood products rolling stock included with the default stock for coal, grain, chemical and consumer products. Once again it seems the British fellows completely overlooked this vital commodity of the Americas, lol. Uhh-hmm.... hey guys.... uhhhh.... we transport more wood than people over here. *!lol!* (Well, at least, we used to!)

(While I certainly appreciate the free addon flats, log cars, etc. that users have made {Thanks!!}, I have thought since RS that this was overlooked by Kuju and should have been a part of the US RW Package)

The trouble with evolving the core product means that many of the older models get left behind.

The ES44 was modelled by 3DtrainStuff, the cab of the ES44 was made by Kuju.
To go back and remodel the engine will take 2 to 3 weeks of an artists time. It may get done it may not, it depends on what work gets thrown at us later in the year.

The Class 166/Class47/Deltic and SD40 could all do with a refresh imo.

Wagons, to get real names means to get real licenses, we working on them. Some of the wagons shown were released with the Challenger, and we all know the noise that came with that, best left at the door I think.

So bottom line, some default stock will get refreshed, some will not.
Every year we are getting better, and products that were made 6 years ago are looking dated now.

regards

Derek how bout just makeing a new payware model of the ES44AC and ES44DC models? This way you all could make money of these and we could have a better model for the game. The ES44 Being the newist model out by GE to freight railroads i think should be model as payware. Also as for the SD40-2 there is mojor problems with this units from the Cables to the lights and so on..Frieght cars it would be nice to have some new payware rolling stock packs like some with Intermodel car,New coal gons, Flat cars and better tank cars.

Yeah, better a complete ES44 payware pack than nothing. Another idea could be to make a payware US wagon pack (we already have those for the UK and Germany).

I'm with those two! I'd pay for an improved ES44 pack and an SD40 pack too. And US wagons! !!*ok*!!

In fact, one of the main reasons I bought the CN widenose SD40-2 was because it came with a selection of wagons - and scenarios! *!lol!*

I can safely say there will not be a payware ES44 from RS.com anytime soon.

If we do anything with it, it will be in core, of course we have a busy year ahead so no promises.

regards

Derek

p.s. the wagons in that Pack were the orginal US wagon pack.

Not any more - at least they're not listed as being in the pack on RS.com any more!
