The log mentions in the "fixed" part: "headlight settings to work with the FDL16 sound enhancement pack"

When reading that I thought it had to do with the FDL16 flares changed (enhanced) to be as those of the GEVO.
Not the case.
What does this mean?

They are the same as on the gevos only with new textures. It says headlight settings because when running a dash9 paired up with a gevo, the ditchlights on the gevo would turn on as soon as you set the headlights on the dash9 which was not supposed to happen, so we fixed that.

Thank you for the explanation.

It is just my opinion and it will probably be different from others here in RWA, but I prefer the more shiny flares of the GEVO (so the textures) than the FDL16.

I don´t know if I may be wrong with something. These flares textures do change with distance? Because in the real world the flares look exactly as in many railfan videos, but when the loco gets closer to the camera, flares vanish to display only the headlights. Would that be possible to implement or texture changes are not possible with distance?

You can't change the textures based on distance.

I went back to my e-mail link to get the latest update (1.6) and I noticed a message that said I only had 2 more downloads allowed unless I join, which I didn't want to do. What do we do when we run out of downloads?

That's probably gonna be a while though :(

Yeap. It is exactly what I thought, since there is no thread yet about the product and a description.

The standard ES44 from Sherman Hill is missing nearly all sound in quickdrive (I did not check check it with a standard scenario).
I found that the both the standard loco and the locos introduced by the package use the modified sound blueprints.
Wouldn't it be better to leave the standard loco with the standard sound and let the modified locos (SH_ES44AC_nadbr.xml and SH_ES44AC_nd_nadbr.xml) use their own blueprints as an intermediate solution ?
Kris

Edit: The train brake cannot be used with the keyboard in the SH-loco, too.

We're missing two files in the installer.exe which are causing the no-sound issue on the default SH gevos (working on a fix) however there's not much we can do about the brakes-keyboard issue. We had several people already suggest us to alias our sounds to the default SH gevos so we won't change those back since the default sounds are simply terrible anyway.

We will send out a notification to every customer as soon as the update goes live.

Hi all

some questions to this great pack - the Sherman Hill ES 44 drives me mad :-(
I understood there is an version without advanced braking, which in in general no problem for me - want the sounds.

After exchanging the engine from some scenarios to this nadbr version I noticed that this engine does not show the BC pressure as well as the BP and EOT pressure. Also the speedo digits dsplay is not working, only the needle.
Only working in the display are reverser status and applied notch of regulator.
Is this to be expected? The version of Marias Pass shows these values.

Examining the bin fles it seems the SH nadbr version is more or less a copy of the MP version - maybe some controllers do not match to the SH version?
Has someone same issue?

Thanks and happy new year

The Sherman Hill engines use scripted brakes. Now all the gauges and displays are controlled trough the same script. If you cut it out (like we did to get rid of the advanced brakes), everything else that script controlled will automatically get disabled hence you're not seeing any proper gauges or working displays.
