Finally some minor work has been done on DLC that contained a game breaking scenario right from the start:

General

Improved the lighting model on locos and rolling stock when moving through tunnels to reduce "pulsing" artefacts seen on cab and train exterior surfaces

CSX Heavy Haul

Fixed a crash reported on loading certain CSX scenarios
Fixed a crash seen during CSX "Powering America Part 1" scenario

Long Island Rail Road

Updated the M7’s marker, HVAC and coach lights:
Parked consists should no longer have coach lights/HVAC/marker lights turned on
Consists in a 'Running Stopped' preset (eg: player spawned into an M7 in Service Mode) should have coach lights/HVAC/marker lights activated on both sides of the consist
AI should now drive with the cab lights off
Fixed an issue whereby the M7’s brakes could not be released when changing ends
The M7's "TractiveEffort" and "Braking Effort" bar should now show Green when Accelerating and Red when Dynamic Braking

------------------------
About the tunnel lighting issue I don't know what that means. The trains in CSX:HH are still self illuminated inside and out when going through tunnels. !*not-ok*!

I really like the way this new sim looks but after reading some of the issues I can't pull the purchase trigger. *!sad!* I really want to like it but I keep reading how they are ignoring major core issues and the fact that releases will be limited in length so they can be used on the consoles. I'll keep an eye on it and hope for the best. !!*ok*!!

Yes, since player numbers on SteamCharts don't seem to improve really, sales on the PC aren't picking up either. TSW's cash flow is probably still insufficient for DTG to put more effort and resources into the game.
Any idea how the consoles are doing, sales and debugging wise?

Different names/handles of DTG staff keep appearing on the Steam forum and Discord channel ...

One should hope for a smooth release of the beta TSW Editor without game breaking bugs. Learning to use the editor will probably keep a lot of us busy in a positive way and in the mid term will give DTG more room to breathe.

I for one have put any DLC purchases on hold till the game improves in the direction of proper simulation of railroad operations. Short to and fro routes thus far having been released are just more of the same.
Plus there are still unresolved UE4 issues with trees and tracks popping, shadows, poor sound, occlusion, and scripting.
Not to mention still only one save slot, no Steam cloud integration and other inconveniences that should have been addressed long ago.

That's what I was afraid of. I'll keep an eye on it but for now I'll pass. I don't know how the consoles are doing with the sim. I for one can't see it being too enjoyable on console but siming on console isn't my thing.

Only half of that fluff was about the x-box rpg. The other half was about an actual train simulator.
