New US Route

Discuss almost anything about RailWorks.

The MTA New York City Transit Facebook page covers everything MTA. Bus, Metro North, Subway, LIRR. Could be any one of them... Minus the buses of course.

Still think the LIRR would be a great commuter route for Railworks. Think Portsmouth Direct, but many times busier and bigger.

If they are going to do a new U.S. route, then let it be in the midwest. Say Kansas City to Lincoln or Omaha. Huge yards and lots of single track excitement. Since they are so in love with the BNSF, then how about St. Louis to Springfield.

I vote for more fallen flag routes. How about a Rock Island route with first generation diesels? or a Chicago Great Western route? Or maybe a ICG route featuring the ICG ALCO C630's and Paducah rebuilt Geeps? Another good one would be one of the Milwaukee Roads electrified Rocky Mountain Divisions with the Little Joe's and the Boxcabs?

If they really are making a new commuter route, maybe the F40PH is going to be part of the package?

Most likely they will make this as a promotional type thing like the Acella to help sell the route and the addon a bit better, it will probably come with one of these

Please. The Wisconsin Talgo's are the ugliest things ever to be put on rails:

I still vote for the LIRR. If not that, something other then the US or Europe. *cough cough* Japan.

I keep hoping for some Illinois routes. Most of the Illinois routes do Passenger and Freight and the Chicago system is pretty nice and complex.

Since they/re not keen on duplicating efforts (ie: they'll not likely copy a route already in the freeware sector), that still leaves a few hundred possibilities in North America, with a dozen or so in the desirable category. There's still a few locomotives and rollingstock needed, so their current projects could be of anything! !**duh*!!

But rsc has yet to do a route in the north!

Are we sure we want them to do a route?

Something like that was discussed a while back but kind of fell apart.
