HUD Mod

Mainly for Raildriver users but I suppose others may find it useful too. This MOD will edit your Driving HUD and remove the ‘big butons’ and make most of the HUD transparent, great for seeing dials and switches.

!*salute*! !!det!! !*brav*! !*YAAA*! It worked fine.....

I'm very happy to know it exists!

I'm a bit sad to know it exists since April/2011, and only now I knew!

Being a RailDriver user since 6 years long, I never liked (it's rarely used) F4, except for shunting purposes (the track in advance window is very good in this regards). Therefore I'm used to activate F5, instead of F4.

BTW, could the current speed (for now is blanked) be shown? I mean not only the "speed limit", once most speedometers are not that readable...

Congrats,
Lisboa.

Works great, just wish the current speed wasn't greyed out, quite a few of the loco's have really hard to read speedometers.

I also love this new display, but I agree, if the creator would be kind enough to include actual speed on the display, that would be awesome. I don't use my raildriver anymore, and I still find this new display to have enough info. Thanks so much for this.

That was I meant before... furthermore almost all of them don't have gauges' lights yet, needed when running at night. My RD console displays speed in Km/h, I'll check if it can be chaged to show miles/hour.

That can and will be done, I will create a second one shortly for Keyboard Users. That way Raildriver Users can still rely upon the digital display on the RD and if keyboard users want to use the HUD Mod they can see the normal speed display on the screen.

Yes it can. It has one button programmed to show KPH and another to show MPH.

HUD Mod is now updated for Keyboard Users, just re-download the file. This time there will be 3 HUD Mods in the Pack, well 2 Mods and one to set your HUD back to the default HUD.

If you want to see the default Digital Speed readout and benefit from a transparent HUD like the original HUD uses then install the Kbrd HUD Mod.

If you do not want to see the Digital Speed readout, for those that have a Raildriver or if you prefer to rely solely on the cab speedometer, use the RD HUD Mod.

If you want the old HUD Back but do not want to verify the game files because you may have other files that you do not want Steam to overwrite, use the NO HUD Mod. This will restore the Default Game HUD.

Wow, that was quick! Thanks for that!

As to the way to switch to MPH, I think you have to use the new Macroworks 3 to do it, but I'm new to Raildriver, so could be wrong. But with MW3, the bottom two left buttons are for KPH and MPH.
