Horseshoe Curve: A Review (Altoona - Cresson)

This post will include ALOT of pictures and links.

The moment the game loads, you instantly recognize Altoona. But instead of the Black Thoroughbreds of Norfolk Southern, you are placed in the heart of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The route is an absolute jaw dropper. I actually got chills, as I recognized every turn and location. The accuracy is scary accurate. Runs a steady 18-25fps. No framerate drop.

Note real life images taken from the present day (mid 1970's - today), so missing are some tracks (route today is 3 mains).

BUY THIS ROUTE. Want to thank the RSteam for their hardwork and research they did while making this route. Only word that comes to mind is amazing, really.

Video coming shortly. !!*ok*!!

I am almost tempted to say to all the rivet counters out there "I double dog dare you!"

... oh wait, I just did. *!greengrin!*

Haha.

I found a typo in the PRR signal tutorial. When rounding the curve the window that pops up states the curve opened in 1954. Oops it's supposed to say 1854. !**duh*!!

Did you happen to get a derailment just a little after that typo (spotted it too) during the meet with the AI train in the curve?

OK, thanks for checking. Must be me, know I wasn't speeding, plus the AI train derailed too. Will run it again.

Ran it again, no derailment. Don't know what it was, maybe some Trainz fanboy snuck a derailer onto the tracks... *!greengrin!*
