If RSC insists on relaeasing Sherman Hill before fixing what we have already paid for (Dash9's) then too bad, so sad. As it stands, I am out $20.00 U.S. because of their "glitch." And I for one will not give them another red cent on any DLC old or new until the problem is rectifited. I encourage everyone to do the same.

I come here and read this thread because I am genuinely excited about this route, and I look forward to reading folk's comments about the route. Nothing else.

If you have a gripe about the Dash 9 (as I'm sure many of you are fully entitled to do), then please have a moan in the Dash 9 thread, whether or not you are intending to buy Sherman Hill as a result of totally unrelated issue is, well, totally unrelated.

I thought the article linked to yesterday was quite good (even if Derek was a bit cheesy), and it answered a couple of questions that people have asked. Yet it appears to pass without much comment? !*don-know!*

Just thought I'd say that.

Cheers

The new route really does look good, and with Derek IS taking an interest in our opinions on it (too bad we can't clone him). Also the Dash 9 is getting traction. Support has been in direct contact with me several times today, unfortunately they have asked that I keep the details between us, so I can't share.

b737lvr I feel your pain, really. Lets separate the issue of physics from route creation. The two only have some minor overlap under the hood. Take Sherman Hill for what it will bring to the table (Derek can't bring the physics, but he is an artist), and from what I can see so far this will not be Donner Pass Part Deux.

I think we still have that "Dodgy Physics" thread still around here, lets vent on that one.

Maybe they've upgraded the SD40 a bit, like adding textures to the throttle and dynamic brake handle indicators. But has anyone heard whether the ES44 at least will replace the stock (i.e. will be updated for non-buyers of Sherman Hill), or will we have essentially two ES44s around?

I just spent a great hour running a couple of scenarios on one of our oldest routes - the Industrial Interactive. Sorry guys, but I didn't really notice if the physics or the locomotive color were totally accurate. In fact, many of us would be bored sick if we had to abide by all the limitations that apply to the prototype.

How many of us stop and allow a brakeman time to set each individual track switch? How many of us wait for a brakeman to walk the distance of the train after closing a mainline switch? How many of us are willing to sit in a siding for what seems like an eternity waiting for a fleet of northbound trains to pass so we can occupy the main?

I want to get the Dash9s fixed as much as anyone and I tend to get frustrated too. If I can't use the Dash9s, I just move to something else. My point is this - let's enjoy the hobby.

Looks a bit dull in the Screenshot.

They look fine. You can take 50 different photos of the same engine in 50 different places and have the armour yellow look 50 different shades..

We have two Dash 9's around. The pack version and the one that came with Donner Pass. So I expect two ES44's...
