when i initially made MSTS content and had CSX and SCL stuff on my site, CSX Lawyers did contact me, but they wanted me to just apply for a freeware license, wouldnt have cost anything, but CSX is more likely to go after you than anyone else, im not particularly happy with csx at the moment

I doubt that it would come to that ,, however , RSC are under no obligation to supply editors in any form , updated exporters for 3ds Max or any other 3D software , this would include suppling details of any changes they feel the need to make their proprietary file format to Amabilis or to Henning who does the blender exporter. Bottom line ... It's their game and they can do with it as they please.

To be honest, I don't think anything is going to change. I think the email reply that was posted at the UKTS forum from RSC was most likely worded a bit wrong.

I'd be surprised if they make any major changes, restricting further repainting and such. That would be biting their nose off to spite their face.
They might possibly clarify a few things, but who knows when that would happen.

They've been contacted by more than just me about this, and have been pointed to the thread at UKTS, TS, and here, and they don't seem to be in any hurry to reply.

I think I'll lock this thread again, until something comes up about it from RSC.
