UKTS non-FXAA shaders

... have been updated. Read here for more info and the UKTS link: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=361&t=140639&p=1755745&#p1755650

I think they are an improvement, no more blurring of the HUD.

Thank you for pointing this out! I would have completely missed it. Can't wait to try it out on my new setup. *!greengrin!*

What blurs on your hud? Can I see a screen shot of it as I do not have any blurring that I know of.

FXAA is a full screen anti aliasing by slightly blurring the whole screen to make jaggies less apparent. The F3/F4 HUD is part of your full screen and gets a little blurred too, esp. the small text.
There is a better and more technical explanation in the text file that accompanies the download. The thread also has some comparative screen shots and user reviews.

Interestingly, the author mentions that the original FXAA shader only uses a SVGA part (1024*768) pixels of the window, probably due to the ancient MSTS roots of Railworks.
I believe with FXAA out of the way, you can probably use the more potent image enhancement of your video card drivers. That, however requires lots of tweaking.

My nVidia GTX 760 is maxed out all the time. Why buy a nice card and not use it to its fullest capacity? In game setting are also maxed out. I have no blurries anywhere. My res is 1920 x 1080. Both of my monitors has a 2 MS refresh rate. That's why I was wondering what you are seeing. I am not going to dl this from UKTS, it aint worth the wait.

I have just got a Asus Strix GTX 960 2gb card after my GTX 560 TI stopped working. What a vast improvement in the graphics everything appears nice and sharp. I have TS set to the highest graphics settings which puts the AA setting into FXAA+8xMSAA. I don't see any blurriness or jaggies just a slight shimmering when there are a lot of overhead wire and pylons in the picture but nothing really to worry about. Get frame rates from low 30s up to about 90 according to the TS frame counter.

You have a semi good card now, MSAA is old school. If you want to see real buttery smooth crank it up into the SSAA area.

Yep I am running 3x3 SSAA with my 760 so that 960 should do the same.

I don't get any blurry edges with FXAA turned on either.
I get blurry when the anisotropic filtering is too low and also the scenery quality setting affects that... including the in cab view on some engines.
