Livonia, Avon, and Lakeville Railroad (LAL), a shortline based out of New York, is seen passing through Bath, NY in the late afternoon. Leading the short train are two ALCo "Century" C-424 locomotives (Nos. 422 and 424).

Nice! You came up to my neck of the woods.

All of the ALCo short lines in rural NY and PA provide some nostalgic railroad action you just don't see anywhere else.

I was coming back from Niagara Falls and just happened to see the train while rolling down the interstate. It was very nice to have a peek at some of the remaining ALCo locomotives still in service.
