It may not be much, but it is fun going up a 4.5% grade on what feels like a 20 degree curve is quite fun.

Also, I'm reworking a set of scenarios for the MCSA to use the Connie. I'd love to swap your MCSA version for the Rio Grande version I used.
PM me if you'd like to try the first part.

Yes, I'll upload it, but I thought I'd do Bob a favour and wait until the weekend to avoid overloading him even more (he's very busy with his day job at the moment).

Kudos to you if you managed to get up a 4.5% grade - I'm not sure if I could do that!

That sounds good. If it were me, I'd take the next week off!

I've uploaded the MC&SA livery (road name on tender) for Bob to put into the file library when he has time.

Mike, the video is up in the videos section. !*salute*!

CONSOLIDATION MC&SA livery - missing bin files in rwp

Unread postby mrennie » Tue May 28, 2013 12:57 pm

The MC&SA livery package I uploaded to the file library is missing the bin files for the engine and tender, so it doesn't show up as MC&SA when you go to select it. I've sent a corrected version to Bob.

UPDATE: Bob's replaced the file. I'd ask the 22 of you who'd already downloaded it before that to download it again and just unpack the rwp so that you'll get the bin files put into the MCSA folders. Thanks!

Thanks, Mike!

And to think I started to doubt myself !*hp*! !*hp*!

That's a definite "tut-tut" .

Now let me see if this gives the whistle some sound, as well.

The (sometimes) silent whistle is a bug in Railworks ... nothing I can do about it. It's linked with the editor and often the only way to get the sound back is to exit the game and go back into the scenario without touching the editor. The editor (for me at least) often causes things like missing sounds and/or missing track and other objects, which return if I do as above. Must be some kind of memory problem, or inadequately dimension arrays (no way to know without seeing the source code).

You're right again!

The whistle sound showed up but I didn't know why !**duh*!!

Also re-installed your sound mods and all are working perfectly. To answer your question of a few days ago, I think the sounds are great! If we yell for more realism we must accept the fact that realism is not necessarily pleasant and sound is sometimes noise.

Thanks again, Mike. The MCSA is much appreciated!
