I've had the honor and pleasure of test driving some of this new route's scenarios. The route is magnificent, the package includes several locos and a variety of freight stock with some very unusual items, and the users' manual (viewable at http://cdn4.steampowered.com/Manuals/22 ... 1384416177) is the best I've seen in a long time. Here are just a few screenshots to whet your appetite and loosen your purse strings:

I wasn't expecting this route so quick either. It's not often that I jump on a new route but this one looks great so I had to buy. Luckily I don't have much for plans this weekend so I will get some time to try this route out.

Because it was "built" by people that care and have a track record (no pun intended) of quality and attention to detail. !*salute*! I was in the US at the end of September and managed to catch one of the Kansas City - Everett Boeing trains - it is an amazing sight to see several full sized aircraft fuselages traveling along on the back of flatcars (at a considerably slower pace than they will be used to in the future *!lol!* )

While another modern single line US freight route is definitely not my thing, I can admire a quality route and the work involved. Now Michael can maybe return to the unfinished VNHRR project *!lol!*

!*cheers*!

A milestone, I think, and I am so happy to see this release today! Three cheers for the indie pro routebuilders and their beautiful product!

Ya'll are gonna want to buy this one. The Boeing plant alone is completely unique with freight movement unlike anything we've seen yet in TS. The cascade tunnel is an amazing model while getting up to it is both a chore and a pleasure. This route has forest and rain, desert and snow, mountains to ocean-front (well, the sound looks like an ocean), incredible scenery, plenty of switching and miles of long track. As long routes go, this is the one I enjoy running the most.

Man you guys are killing me here. I've yet to pick up the Surfliner route and then you drop this. That's two routes on my wish list. Looking good guys! !!*ok*!!

The screen shots look great and I applauded Rick, Michael and the entire Stevens Pass team. Reading through the manual I do see a few bugs in relation to prototype GP38-2 locomotives.

On the Prototype:

#9 is the Engine Run switch, not the step light switch.
#10 is the Control switch, not the wiper switch.
#12 is a windshield wiper knob, not a light switch.
#13 is a Emergency Fuel Cut Off button used to shut the diesel engine down, it does not start the engine.

Other than these little bugs, this is a great looking route. Thank you Rick, Michael and the entire Stevens Pass team !!*ok*!!
Cheers,
Rich S.

It looks good and has gone to the top of my "to buy" list on either Black Friday or if there is a Xmas sale. Unfortunately I think RSC may have unwittingly saturated the market a bit with all those simultaneous releases - GEML and Surfliner have barely been out a few weeks and now we have Stevens plus for the UK, West Somerset Railway. So the budget has to be managed a bit when it comes to choosing what's next.
