*!lol!*

It loads OK on my 4-year-old HP Pavilion laptop, so it should be alright. There is a lot of detail but I'm also taking care about optimizing the points, deleting hidden faces, all the usual things. I have to save some budget for the cab and tender! At the moment, the entire model has about 50k faces.

In any case, I do plan to do a lower-poly version when this one is finished, to cater for lower-end machines, if there's enough interest from people.

Cheers!

Ordered! *!greengrin!* I'd like to see it run on my aging old crate, but steamers are always a bit of an issue for ol' Pandora.

I think it would be great.

Engine is looking great.

Can't wait to see the Consolidation finished.

By the way, later would you be interested in doing the 4,6,2 ATSF 3415 Pacific. I have a ton of reference photo's of the beast and would rather give them to a freeware developer then a payware developer. I have tons of photo's of the body, cab and then tender and I want to give them to someone that could make it into a freeware locomotive. I'll see if I can find any blueprints of the engine, I'm sure they're there.

Years ago on a trip up north I got to take a look at this beast.

As of now I'm not sure if there's any drawings of it, but I can take a look.

OK! I already know where I can reduce some detail without it requiring an inordinate amount of work :D

The 4-6-2 is a beauty! I'd love to do it, but it's essential to have a good set of blueprints. I can do a lot by eye alone, but I feel better when I know that I've made as many parts as possible to the exact measurements. I was lucky with the 2-8-0 to have been able to buy copies of most of the parts, as well as diagrams of how they all fit together.

I'll see if I can find some blueprints, since I think the game could really use a big US steam as freeware anyways.

Looking great, will be ready to be able to give it a run in the game.

A couple lucky finds tonight some cab photo's from a very similar Consolidation steam locomotive. The real cab from this one would have probably looked a lot like this.
