this is the last video of this loco before its release. there are still some things to do still like rain fx and digital speedometer. the back panel I'm holding off on for now until i find pictures of the back panel on a sd60 F. there are none online. just front part of the cab. all the anims are done. I am still trying to figure out why the HUD throttle wont move when you key A and D. otherwise I hope you like it. Its likely I may have to push the release back to sunday.

Okay quick things to change before release. the doors on the cab side would open inward, IIRC. Please replace that ebell with the air bell that is in my sounds, as i feel that would be more appropriate. And if you could, replace the horn (P3 now) with a K3L canadian tuned. Just some constructive criticism before release. :)

Ok bnsfdude, the cn sd60f's have a p3 horn, and I do recall that some have been upgraded to an e-bell after being in the shop the past few years.

not changing the p3 or the bell sorry. they are prototypical for the unit as you can see. however if someone doesnt like the horn or bell they can change it out at their own discretion. IF thats how the doors truly open then i'll fix them real quick.

In that video i hear an Air bell. But I'm willing to believe they have been replaced. :( but indeed the doors do swing in, not out because of clearances.

ok cab is in from the exterior mode and cablight works by hitting the H key. performance is top notch with all the details that went into this model. there are no shadows casting from the cablight so no fps dropm yet the cab light still lights up the interior in all views. hope you enjoy this because its my favorite model so far. Its fully equipped and ready for shipment. 9am ish i'll release it pending a few tweaks I make tonight.

if you guys want I can make a cab light that does cast shadows, and you guys can just use the file to overwrite the other cab_light file. just let me know. some like shadows some dont. but if theres enough interest i can add a substiitute file.

rain fx are in place
road numbers are done.
still playing with the HUD throttle, still not working when you key A/D, but you can increase/decrease via mouse drag.
cab will eventually have a back panel but i still need to find a picture of what the back panel looks like for real. rather than not make it accurate. so that will be a future update. otherwise its 100% ready to go.

its hand painted vs photo real, and its far more detailed than my previous works. I like photoreal but hand painted is cool too.

I like the photo real textures the best but its hard to get them to match up just right, that's why I like the way you did them here, these look as close to photo real as any re painter or modeler can get. **!!bow!!** The cab seems to be an improvement also, I'm just slightly concerned about the animations, one of your locomotives has the door animation coming through the cab slightly (by where the hinge is) when you open it and the wipers seemed to detach from the door and float in mid air (their were also a few problems with missing parts of the wipers, probably just another packaging problem or something), not sure if its something you over looked or something that got crossed up when you put it in RWP. I know that even happens to the best of us sometimes and its a pain when it does. **!!bang!!** In the long run though, your models rely seem to have improved from your first ones !!*ok*!! !!*ok*!!

heres some progress on the next in the series, a BN sd60M phase I model, you all know as the triclops. I will be holding onto this one for a while as to decide whether to release it as part of the remaining sd60 pack or part 2 of the seattle route.

more to come soon.

(Hint Hint)

When it comes to freeware skyscrapers I would like to see some of my models outdone by another modeler, for more freeware buildings in the game.

I am curious to see how one of my best skyscrapers would look compared to another freeware skyscraper.

Looking good though, would love to see you finish Mike's engine later, if you would still like to.
Long live the metropolis and big cities of the USA.
