Based on feedback I've recieved, I'm nearing completion of an "alternate" CSX ES44 pack. It will include slight (but noticeable) improvements in the YN3 blue for the existing ES44AC repaint, along with ES44DC locomotives, and ES44DC loco # 5500, "the Spirit of Cincinnati"

Anyone see anything that could be better before I package this one up?

Thank you! Based on some things I learned, I think I'm going to start the Dash-9 paint from scratch so I can add more detail. But I'm going to take a short break from the paint shop after the ES44 is finished.

I saw one thing that was interesting that you did, was that you moved the number boards, can this be done on any locomotive? Right now I have a dash-9 painted up as a CSX loco using the repaints from Pikes Products, but I put the textures on a cloned Donner Pass Dash-9. While I am very happy that my dash-9s now have lights and rain FX the number board is still out of place for CSX.

Unfortunately, no. The numberboards are controlled by the 3d model in this case, and it cant be altered by the end user. I was able to cheat a little - there are several variations of default ES44 models, and it so happens that Def2 model works for the low numberboard version.

Excellent, these units are looking A.O.K. as well.
Thanks for picking up that suggestion, makes for some variation. Nice to see a "City of" as well.

You deserve a break after all this work, please enjoy it!

Installed the new CSX ES44 units and checked the new repaints. They are great! Do they overwrite the previous repaint you did? I think I lost those previous repaints I already placed in my scenarios.

I have one small suggestion still, could you extend the blue at the rear just about 2 inches lower till where the radaiotor flare meets the body?
That way there will be a little more blue "body" below the number so they don't seem to fall off.

After your break of course. :D
