CP headlight Quardrum

Unread postby suzukisk » Sun Jun 09, 2019 6:19 pm

So I have redone my JR Cp rSD40-2 repaints Buzz is currently testing them for me. I have a Pacman and Golden Beaver models. They are a close representaion of the real models. I like the looks of them but what bothers me is the roof mounted headlight. CP GMD models had Nose mounted units. If anyone out there can modifiy them like Jalsna had for the Santa Fe F45 units i would appreciate the help. That is way above my pay grade LOL. I could share my repaints Sans Geo files and you could have early access to the repaints. You could also (Rail) road test them for me as well. Even as they are I like running them on Canadian Mountain Passes. It would also be nice if the happy face horn was a lever unit but whatever will be will be LOL These will be shared on RWA as soon as I can.

They are not. This isn't even rivet counting at this point.

Brah, He said it's as close he can get with a SS JR model. Don't say it ain't even rivetcounting at this point. a SD40 is a SD40. who cares if it's not exact. God This is the same thing that made me leave the Trainz community.

Simmer down there partner. He is just giving his opinion. Granted it may not have been in the most pleasant manner, but still, no need to get all bent out of shape.

Thanks for the critical opinion and support. I started doing these models for the challenge and the fun of doing so. I have redone both these models once already and may so again in the future. If anyone does better repaints than mine I will probably download them myself but no one is obligated to download mine. I am after all offering to share with anyone who feels they would like to improve on my efforts. Let's just enjoy this hobby. **!!2cents!!**

A critic can always criticise but often does not offer anything either as good or better. Do not be discouraged, we learn by doing and getting better. We do not learn by not trying.

How about you all take this over to Searchlight Sims & friends and maybe they will consider doing 1 to accompany their CP ac44cw? !*don-know!*

Just like with anything and everything, practice makes perfect. My previous repaints aren't anywhere near as good as my current repaints (well, the few I've finished) I can guarantee the more you do, the better they'll be.
