Norfolk Southern Safety Train

Unread postby TheTeenageFoamer » Thu Feb 14, 2019 7:11 pm

Alright folks, I had wanted to hold off on announcing this, but I have ascertained the info that I have some competition on my hands. Now the reason I am getting this out there is because I don't know if this will turn into a He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named situation, or if it's really just a harmless paint off. But just to cover my derriere, I am getting it out there.

Now I have teased this engine in the screenshots forums.

Obviously still very much WIP, but that's why I originally wanted to wait.

This will use the BN GP38-2 pack by RSC. As well as Searchlight Simulations' EMD 16-645E sound enhancement. (the horn being from the Dash 9 pack, but still subject to change)

Note: I do plan to do the rest of the train as much as possible.

Still a lot of tedious work yet to be done. RSC's mapping is quite jank but oh well.....

If I didn't know any better, I'd think it was done.

Alas, there many small details that still need the paint brush.

Been a good minute since I've posted an update.

Project progress is going smoothly. The locomotive is approximately 85% done with just some small OCD stuff for me to fix here and there, and now has 4K textures to make to smaller labels and logos pop.
The cars have just been started, but they won't require as much attention as the locomotive does.
