Ok I guess just like the AEM7 and GP9 thread we create this one as a reference for RSC's Prized employees to use for help etc.

Like I posted in the AEM7 thread here is a rare video from inside the AEM7 Cab from Secacus Junction to New York Penn Station.

Here's one I really think will be helpful, especially since it's of the Northeast Corridor in the time and place Railsimulator.com will model it in. It's a very facinating documentary.

News from Facebook:

"The North East Corridor is coming together! Track laid and catenary in place, buildings steadily being created.... we will show you some screenshots soon!"

...

"Don't worry there will be plenty of new scenery when the route is done, but it won't be boring I can tell you that at least ;) - Had fun with the trackwork though! - Danny"

June is going by very fast I can't wait to see NYC Penn Station. I would do an extension to Washington, but I don't trust this laptop I'm on.

From seeing the current state, I assume it won't come in June anymore. *!sad!*

Ditto, as I mention before on FB:

I wouldn't be a true member of the RW community if I didn't voice my concerns. We are about two weeks from the announce due date of the NEC and so far from what I seen two weeks will not be enough time. Its taken this long just to finish the tracks. I think it is best if you guys (RSC) Just release the stock first so ppl have something to hold them over until you have right time to finish this section of the NEC.

I wanted to write more but I didn't want to go over the word limit, but I figured this wouldn't be done in time. It took me two months just to do Washington to BWI without customs and having Washington DC Union Station not Done. As I said I think it is best the Amfleets, Viewliners or whatever Passenger Cars RSC has done so far to release them first. I'm not sure if you got Amtrak's Approval, but if you didn't I would leave the logo out and just let the painters fill in the blanks. The NEC needs alot more time from what I have seen.

Take it from me this is one route you can't fool-around on having so many people live near it on rode on it for many years.

From what I have seen, the NEC will be worth the wait. Perhaps in the future, Railsimulator might revisit its policy on releasing target dates for upcoming projects. I think it would be better to wait until you have the product in beta testing to start throwing dates out.

When did they announce a due date for this? I don't remember that ever happening.

Spring-Summer Showcase:
"NEC + AEM7 - 24 June
The Northeast Corridor Expansion Pack will be a recreation of the line from New York Penn Station through to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, part of the busiest railroad passenger line in the US. With overhead electrification now providing power for both low-speed and high-speed passenger services, the NEC runs along the route of historic railroad lines dating back to the 19th Century and the days of steam. Currently, efficient electric locomotives serve the cities along this busy route including New York City, Philadelphia, Washington and Boston. The Northeast Corridor Expansion Pack will include the AEM7 electric locomotive and is coming to RailWorks 2 in June."

Curious if they will maintain the Acela schedule for July or push it back until after the NEC release, which I guess won't be before September.
