Well, Smokebox's Cheyenne 1869 is a really good and highly detailed route but it's a bit short. So let's change this
For all of you, who think this will be Sherman Hill just with other tracks, you're wrong. In 1869 the railroad takes a different route over the summit.
For the first stage I'll extend the route till Laramie, following the historic grade via the town of Sherman which was just a little bit north of the Ames Monument and the highest point of the whole transcontinental railroad at 8,247 ft (2,514 m) above sea level.
Trackwork has already been done till Sherman, scenery is following a few miles behind.
What you'll need to run this route once it's available:
- The original route which is in the UP119 DLC
- And the "Radiomaster Vegetation" which is freeware
But first lets go to our startpoint which is Buford, where the old route splits up from the modern route.
I've left the GPS coordinates in the screenshot names so you can see where we are
