I find it weird that they had a poll in November of what future routes we'd like to see and they choose one that wasn't on the list of choices. Now they did preface it saying they might not make any of the routes they listed. I just didn't expect them to ...in the end... NOT choose one of the routes we were voting on.

They listed Mullan Pass in Montana as a choice and gave us Marias Pass from the same state that wasn't. Just very odd behavior on their part.

I think alot of people commented on FB that they wanted Marias even though it wasn't on the list. I din't know whwre Sherman came from though. I'd say it had alot to do wih how easy it is to create because scenery is sparse in deserts, hense Cajon.

They bought the route pretty much premade except for scenery from Marc Nelson. It was in the Engine Driver blog, and Marc has said it was he.

Anyway, now I'm here I thought I should quickly add that the decision to make Marias Pass was in no way influenced by this thread and nor was it done out of spite or for any other nefarious reasons. Merely a coincidence.

Well as Engine Driver also stated. The track was also completely relaid to have Superelevation and uneven properties. Sorry Bob!

No worries, Woody. I guess I'm a bit sensitive.

I had a chat with Derek about your thread the other day and neither of us were sure whether to comment or not...

But when we sat down together a while back to look over the route it was all done in Google Earth and at no point was your thread or route build discussed. (To be perfectly honest, once Derek had finished ooh-ing and aah-ing about the trees and rocks there was very little time for discussion about anything else anyway!)

It's not appropriate for me to make any further comments about your progress, but I do hope it goes well for you and I shall definitely be keeping my eye out to see what you're up to.

Sure, rails are there and in Norway nad Sweden too. I love scenery from Alps like in Austria. But You know, this is not so far from me and someone can say it's ordinary. US railroads are far behind the ocean for me, so they are exoic and interesting.
And when we speak about mountain railroading, original Rollins or Stevens Pass lines are fascinating. No one here in Europe was so insane to try cross the mountains in this style.

Well, let's get back to topic.

I still think about it but I'm not quite sure.. I mean it's easier to create a modern route and I've started already work on it (not enough to talk about) so .... I just don't know, but anyway I want to wait for RSC's MP and continue on my Mojave Sub. I can see more that sign "crossing on your own risk"

Yep, I understand.
imho, You made wise decision, after RSC version release will be easier to think about it. I don't know much about history of this line, but I guess not much things changed around in last 20 - 30 years. If I'm wrong, someone correct me, please :)
