I'm envious. John, just looking at the pictures, your route looks more REAL than mine! Out of all the great route work out there, this is the one I have been most anxious to drive and I am finally going to have time to do so in the next week or so. I don't know what the "trick" is to making RW scening so "alive"; I think it is something in the "mind's eye"... perhaps a bit of photographic memory.... and a lot of time looking around the landscape seeing beyond what is apparent and obvious. In any case, John, you seem to have a very liberal dose of that talent. I hope you never stop building.

Tori

P.S. Attractive home page start, too!

I believe those are Britkits Steam engines. Click on the Britkits link on the Payware advertiser's page.

First off- Magnificent work on this route. I live in Eugene and drive along it on a regular basis and you have nailed it sir! Kudos!
Unfortunately, I cannot get the tracks to appear.

I've installed the following:

- ScaleRail(HR) (ran using SR's install)
-Willamette Pass Route
-Willamette Pass Assets

When the route is loaded in Railworks2, there is just one small section of track visible. It appears to be a ScaleRail section.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling all of the above and have had no success. Any helpful advise from anyone on this board would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all!

Best,

Mark

Hi and welcome to RWA. *&!welcome!&*

Check if you have the following:
spec5sx wrote:You will also need the following items:
Scale Rail (Freeware or High Res version)
Scale Roads (Freeware or High Res version)
You can obtain these here. http://www.3DTrains.com

Assets from The Colton and Northern Route:
http://www.allaboardrails.com

US&S Searchlight Signals beta:
http://www.smmdigital.net

(Colton and Northern which can also be bought on Steam, the searchlights and Scalroads aren't needed to see the tracks)

So in which locoation did you install Scalerail (which path did you select)?
Also try to verify the integrity of the game cache through Steam. This has solved the same problem on the Barstow-SanB route for me.
Did you also reinstall the route?

Also the SP/SF version of Scalerail seems to be needed for some short sections (also available as freeware from 3DTrains).
->Could it be that you only have the SP/SF version installed (which is an extra pack) and not the basic Scalerail?

Thanks for the response.
I didn't have the Colton&Northern Route so I purchased and installed, then reinstalled the W.P. route. Still no track.
The Scale Rail_HR is installed in: c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\railworks.
I have not installed ScaleRoads (thinking that should not affect the rails).

Help! :) **!!bang!!**

Cheers,

This should be the right location.

You didn't say if you have the Southern Pacific/Santa Fe Scalerail (which can also be downloaded as freeware).

spec5sx wrote:If you have Missing assets I have just uploaded an asset pack. You can grab that here:

If it asks you to create an account, just click NO and then select Standard Download.

I installed Willamette Pass for the first time the other day and have everything up and running except for the missing assets. The Rapidshare site either apparently no longer has the option for Standard Download or I'm just confused with the workings of the site. The link above still works but it requires a paid account to buy "rapidshares." Not really sure how to proceed; any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If I aopen the site there is a grey field saying "Free Download" at the right bottom.

LOL...if the giant button that says "FREE DOWNLOAD" was a rattlesnake, I'd be a dead man. Thanks for pointing it out for me *!rolleyes!*

Hello guys

by searching the web for information on this line, I found this site http://spcascades.railfan.net/ that some may know. This site is fantastic, very informative on the history and construction of the line between Oakridge and Cascade Summit ... Klamath and up ... This is very instructive for me
very very good site, great pictures, links etc etc ... this line is really great (in France it was not lol) ... I know there is still much work to spec5sx to go after that long line ... again thank you for what you do and you do it right

ps: sorry for my English, I use Google tracduction

I just wanted to say that this route is my new favorite for railworks! I had no problems with it at all and although I am running a lower end machine, I still get managable frame rates throughout all of the route I have ran so far. Please tell me that this fantastic route will be added to. If not, I would like to give a round of applause to the author for recreating one of America's most beautiful routes! Is this route still in progress BTW? (Sorry, I'm alittle late to the game... *!embar*! )
