Connellsville to Baltimore

Unread postby Bontempo » Sat Jul 28, 2012 8:54 am

Hi all I am back

After uploading my P&LE route i got some ( I shall say hate) email that i did not like at all
and decided to leave for a while and cool down

Ref: Route Connellsville to Baltimore route

This is a total remake of the old route CSX Mainline route It will be extended in both directions.
Cumberland will be extended to Connellsville ( Sand Patch) working on that section now

Washington DC will extend to Baltimore

everything in between will be re vamped to reflect the year 2005

PS: this is a long distance route
The reason i say this is i know some people do not like long distance routes

The CSX Mainline route is an old route of mine that used the B&O rail line

the route was modeled after a small section of the line that runs from Washington DC to Cumberland MD

That route i no longer have

I believe Otto has a copy of this route
http://www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/rw-downloads

The new route will use the same track but extended in both directions

PS: This route will not have any loops placed by me
If loops want to be put in the route that is up to the person who downloads it

Because of personal reasons the route can only be downloaded from Otto's site at this time

I will be looking for another host outside of Otto's to upload the route too

if none are available i will see about hosting it myself

Mr. Bontempo,
Welcome back. I am looking foward to creating scenarios for your route. One that I have done for my own consumption on the CSX Mainline was the Capitol Limited. It will be great if I can the Amtrak run from Pitsburgh to Baltimore.

I downloaded your route from Ottodad and it looks great. BTW, I work with the public and have received my share of "hate" mail. Let's be honest...you're investing a ton of your time in creating a route that you share FREELY with the community. Anyone who would send an anonymous critical letter is not worth my time. I have a "File 13" that I store those letters. Our janitor empties it every day! Keep up the good work.

Do we just need to DL the Connelsville to Baltimore version? Since I DL the P&LE route I HAVEN'T played any other route. I spend most of my time just free roaming around the different areas its a great route don't let the haters drag you down. Most don't realize the amount of work that goes into even the simplest repaint. My hats off to you route builders.

As far as i know (From Otto)

if you have the latest P&LE Asset file

then all you need is the route

Well, there is RWA as a place to host your files... and there are other good RW sites around to have your files hosted.

Welcome back, Thomas.
P&LE is great and I hope to see people make more scenarios for it.
Hosting your routes here at RWA would be a stress-free solution.

As stated earlier

For personal reasons
the route will not be hosted on this site

Hawk has kindly provide the reason and i have no problems with it

Once i release another beta and have a full count of what assets are needed

I will host the route myself

In the mean time a beta is available on Otto's site

Looking forward to it's final release. These are the kind of routes I like. I tried to write a scenario for the Capitol Limited for the CSX Main Line. Got it in place at Washington's Union Station, but can't get it to move.

I hope that the Connelsville-Baltimore is a success. I have been paying attention to the post over at T-S.
