Just a heads up I've released Adriana County on workshop I hope those who get the route have a lot of entertainment out of it. In short it is a fictional route set in grain country but here is the workshop description, some excellent screenshots taken by Claus can be seen on 'any route any era' on this forum.

In 1893 in an effort to link the agricultural industries to the new east-west routes which had been constructed by their respective companies some years earlier, the Grain Growers Union of Adriana County put forward a proposal to finance the new 'South Eastern Railroad Company'. This new venture would see the construction of a short route of 18 miles in length between the towns of Delray in the south and Claiborne in the north. A branch of just over 8 miles in length was to be constructed from Marlane, 11 miles from Claiborne, to Emerald, at a distance of just over 12 miles. A third route to Cannon Rock of 10 miles length was to leave the main at Montibello situated 16 miles from Claiborne. On its completion in the mid 1890's this productive region now had access to a huge aray of markets and would benefit modestly from the prosperity over the years.
Time moves on and we find ourselves in the late 1970's and early 1980's, Burlington Northern and Union Pacific operate the Claiborne-Delray line as a joint venture moving local freight and utilising the route as a short cut for some main line traffic. The branch from Marlane to Emerald has been truncated at Henderson and is now operated by the Adriana County Railroad shortline. The route to Cannon Rock has met its demise, closure having taken place in 1972. Passenger services are but a memory, one or two structures remain to remind us of those heady days of steam and passenger workings.
Grain and other associated products are the mainstay of traffic when in season but many other products are shipped such as stone, concrete and timber, besides many other commodities from local industries.

This route comprises;
BN/UP operated single track, signalled line, linking two main line exchange yards

UP industrial spur with many local industries (unloading facilities exist)

Adriana County Railroad shortline (not signalled)
ACRR Quarry branch (not signalled, loading and unloading facilities exist)
Engine service facilities

Some thirty plus industries over the whole system

Adriana County requires you have the following DLC installed:
Marias Pass
Sherman Hill
Penn Coal

As and when the route is made final (if no problems encountered) JHM Studios has created some great reskins for the Adriana County shortline. He has used Jessie James Digi Rails reskins, a firm favourite of mine but not sure if Jessie would be happy him about releasing them? I guess it would be best for him to contact Jessie via his website?

Thanks

This looks awesome.
How close is it to being completed?
Does it come with scenarios?

Hi,
It is complete unless anyone finds a glaring mistake or some other problem, being English and not to knowledgeable on US practice someone my well correct my efforts :D
I have a number of scenarios ready for it but until it is finalised they cannot be uploaded, a route needs 30 votes before it can be finalised. Quick drives are available to start though and of course you can make your own.

I love it. My only issue is it doesn't seem to have any way to make a free roam. Unless I am missing something (which happens every day) there don't seem to be any locations from which to start a free roam.

Hi Buzz,
This is a problem with fictional routes and workshop, you can't export any area markers, only the original route template markers will show on the menu. You need to go into route editor, select a scenario creation icon (freeroam, standard etc) then fly to where you want to start your scenario and place the icon, continue as normal from there.

Ran the route this AM....
I can easily see this route interchanging traffic with Majestic Falls and vise versa.....both share a double track mainline that could join off- route....
I did see a blue-cabbed 18 wheeler with a missing texture at several points, there's a service van and a large tank with the same problem....
I've not found anything else..

Really a nice piece of work. It has really captured that "branch line" feel....

One question: is Penn Coal the same thing as NS Coal District? I assume it is but wanted to be sure.

gtrtroger, I think the missing textures are related to the Penn Coal/Norfolk Southern route, might be worth checking those items out on your route, see if they are missing on that? All showing up on mine ok.
I'll change the description to read Penn Coal :D

This is just a lovely route. I did a QD that started out of Harrison Ave, I believe it was called. Wonderful detail running through the city there. I think this lives up to Majestic Falls in terms of ambiance and capturing all the minutiae that breaths life into a route.

I can't seem to find any career or standard scenarios though. The route doesn't show up in either tab. I was under the impression there were scenarios for it. I d/l through the WS.
