Hudson Cab Sound FIX

Unread postby CArailroader » Mon Jun 17, 2019 1:37 am

Hey Y'all,

For those of you who downloaded the wonderful new Hudsons and like me had no sound in the cab, I have the fix for you! It's in the engine bin and what you want to do is null out the cab occlusion bin! I usually put "null" or a "1" after the file name and you will have sound in the cab. This is just a temporary fix until John and Darlan come up with a permanent fix. If you want a better chuff sound I have used the freeware Berkshire and that came out really well. Hope this works for everyone!

Im pretty BIN illiterate. Can you elaborate on how this is done? I opened the Engine BIN in RW tools and found CabOcculsion section but not sure where to put "null" or "1" at.

Find these lines that show this only yours will not have the null. Add it like here. Remember that if you save it in RWTools the program automatically makes a backup for you.

RailSimulatorUS</Product>
</iBlueprintLibrary-cBlueprintSetID>
</BlueprintSetID>
<BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">RailVehicles\Steam\NYC J-3a\Default\CabView\J3a Cab Occlusion null.xml</BlueprintID>
