OK, is it me, or is the F7 just one of the most classic, handsome locomotives ever. I love the "War Bonnet" livery (not that I don't like your stuff, Michael)

I'm absolutely with you. !!*ok*!! The F7 has just such a classic timeless design. What a great loco, this was design we'd need today again. Especially the warbonnet is amazing, that's right.

The P&LE motive power look fantastic!

These will be great on the new P&LE route in the works.

Thanks for the sneak peek.

My GP9s are only displaying couplers. I own the Xtra pack payware. Anyone else having a problem or is it me and my system?

Michael,

For reasons unknown yet I crash when trying to load your GP7 repaints. I am able to load the default SAL GP7 but no joy on yours. Any initial ideas? I tried both the versions on Railworks America and from UKTrainsim.

Regards,

Hi,

I'm afraid at the moment I can't really say what might cause the GP7s to crash, they run fine on my RW and I also have not received any complaints by email (so far...).

A few questions though: did you install the original GP7's custom input mappers (see original readme), I know without this one you can get into all sorts trouble. Also, make sure that you are using the correct engine: the -lead engines are to be used as driver (or AI) lead engines and preferably (or maybe exclusively) in expert mode, the -simp engines can be used in the simplified controls mode too, and the -trail engines should only be used as helper or non-lead units in a consist and without driver icon.

Hopefully this will help.
Another thing: normally, RW should do that on its own, but to be sure you (again) delete the blueprints.pak in the DRB_SimStuff\NA assets folder.

Cheers!

When I select on of the GP7's in the Scenario Editor, RW locks up. I have to do Crtl-Alt-Delete to get out. I do have other GP7 repaints that work without problems. BTW, the other PLE/NYC repaints work great. Thank you for your good work. I'm looking forward to writing some P&LE scenarios this week.

Michael,

I found something interesting after installing your CB&Q repaint just now (which works just fine, no issues). I took a look at the file structure under Assets\DRB_SimStuff\NA\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP7 of both the CBQ1ms and PLE-ms folders and found these differences. The CBQ1ms folder only has a textures folder and all of the .ban, .lua, .GeoPcDx, and bin files inside while the PLE-ms folder has a CabView, Engine, Simulation, and Sound folder inside. Could this be the difference?

I am going to install your BN repaint next and see if that is the same as the CB&Q.

Might be nothing but it is a difference I wanted to report.

Just tried the BN repaint and all works fine on that engine too.
