Food Heater Upper?

If I got the locomotive correct my father says he would use this hatch to heat up some of his ready meal 1 minute food packs. He does something else for GP and SD units which he is currently around but on the off case he has a GE I heard he will put it in the circle area.

I guess heating up food is different in some places !*roll-laugh*!

Now I'm curious.
No idea what that hatch is for, not to mention incredibly inconvenient. However, if you have a can of soup or something wrapped in tinfoil you can put it on the side wall heater and presto 15+ miles later you have warm, maybe hot food. That said not all engines are created or maintained equally. The Geeps and SD's have great sidewalls even to this day. Newer engines seem to have weaker sidewalls, maybe in an effort to prevent food being heated or burning your leg, everything has to be idiot proof nowadays.
If your lucky enough to get a CN motor they sometimes have microwaves!

Sorry Eyein12 I'm done derailing your topic. !!bang!!

i know the road numbers need to be changed on the NS unit, and will be. Just added the NS unit ET44ac. Some slight differences in body design

no plan just going to go with these 3 for the release. just wrapping up small details then I can focus on sound implementation. I have a lot of ES44ac sounds, I really like the idle subtle chug they make. the ET44ac's idle is quieter and like a sd60 meets GEVO hybrid. Its pretty noticeable but that underlying ES44ac chug at idle is present just suppressed. I think I can get away with the notch sounds from the ES44ac's because they sound very similar since thats all I was able to aquire at this point. I have an idle sound for both so not sure what I should go with.

Quick question does the et44 units still have air compressor sounds that are the same as its predecessor a or is it different. I have a compressor sound from one but not sure if that is the actual air compressor making the sound.

Maybe someone can answer this I want to make sure I place the hallmark "whoop" sound and compressor at the right events. Does it just randomly happen or is it triggered by a specific event like release of the loco brake?

thanks
