Let's all just remember that old saying: "Hartford wasn't built in a day."

Michael has posted some WIP pics of downtown Hartford. Development has gone nicely over the past few days.

Hi,

The Hartford tiles will give the PC something to do. There are many objects, but many of them are reused many times and use shared textures. Tile object count alone isn't a big issue for RW, for now we've got performance in Hartford under control.

Cheers

If I didn't know better...
It's 1957 or 58 and Mom is taking me into Fox's, that big department store next to the parking garage, for 'Back to School' shopping.

Switching "monkeys"? Never mind, just think "words will never hurt me". What I actually want to note is that huge yards, even when properly signaled (and this route is the gold standard for proper yard signalling) so as to permit two or more switching engines to operate simultaneously, can also become frightening to those of us who write switching scenarios, in the sense that coordinating the maneuvers of those engines becomes very tricky and the possibility of something going wrong multiplies exponentially with each new instruction. Of course, that can also be perceived as a challenging puzzle, limited by two "wildcards" buried in TS's code: 1) an AI engine can only pick up cars in place at the start of a scenario and untouched by any other engine and 2) the whims of every scenario writer's nemesis, the mythical dispatcher, which can sometimes change its mind about track priorities from one moment to the next.

But that's all "part of the game", right? Looking forward to the completion of this expansion!

Thanks for the Bloomfield update... **!!bow!!**

!*cheers*!

... and again for the power station teaser. Look forward to propelling some gondolas up those inclines....

are there any plans to lay in the other line south from Springfield vi Armory and (what looks like Welrose on my map) to Hartford? The map is dated 1929, so the line may have been severed by then. It also shows the line through Bloomfield heading north all the way to what looks like Agawan Jct on the B&A, just a little way west of Springfield. This may also have been gone by the 50's

*!!thnx!!*

Grant,

We had discussed that branch at one point... and I don't really recall where we left it. IIRC, we decided it would be a (future) 'come back'. Actually we've a few 'come backs' in mind, but it's taken us so long to get this far, I'd be reluctant to put a date on that. Plus... we've still got to get our butts down to Cedar Hill... eventually.

Thanx for your continued support. BTW, I heard Santa was checking up on our recent progress... Hmmmm. !*don-know!*
