I can't speak for the others but the ET44's and the SD70's are alright.
The SD70's are super quite verses their predecessors, and they have a few creature comforts like reading lights that can be dimmed and turned to red light, so you don't have to strain your eyes and lose your night vision. However, they are almost always at our diesel ramp. Rumor has it they have some serious problems. But their new, EMD needs to work out the kinks.
The ET44's are just like any others before it, I never even notice one from the other (except maybe they have that "new engine smell"), cookie cutter engines.
They all still load like crap though !*not-ok*!

The production numbers speak for themselves and the ET44 series is an all around great design. In the more specialized and smaller passenger railroads those new chargers and f125's are promising to put an end to the GE p42 (which really is more or less a b40-8 in disguise anyhow).

I've heard that the prime mover they use is basically a resurrection of the ill-fated 16-265H engine, maybe in more ways than one...
