You could do something called "rolling releases". This is a practice often done with small software products where the release cycles are ongoing and tight, say every two to three weeks and includes about a week of acceptance testing built into it, so whatever is going out has a few bugs as possible. The down side to this is of course that burn through versions very quickly. The upside is that fixes and small bits of new features are available sooner.

Actually I could go on and on about this topic, so I will stop here unless you are interested in hearing more.

I wouldn't be able to keep up a schedule like that. I have a very goofy work schedule that is never the same from week to week, and frequently flips from day to night. Some days I get a few hours to work with the route, sometimes it's fifteen minutes or so. I've decided to build on the route as far as I can until the end of the month, then i'll stop wherever i'm at at the point and begin detailing and QC.

Converted from the old passenger station in the middle of town, this is Dalton, GA's best choke-n-puke, err, um, fine dining establishment. Well, ok, the food ain't that good, but you don't go there for that, you go there for the ambience! Where else can you eat a biscuit, drink a pint, and stare out the window at the train that is passing just six feet away at 35mph?

I used this video as a guide: http://youtu.be/Du2btQ2tavc

Not much photoshop work, only the effect and some sharpening.

My stepmother's family lives in Dalton, so as you might imagine, I have enjoyed more than a few adult beverages in the Sports Bar section of "The Dalton Depot." Amazed that your route has progressed to putting scenery in Dalton. You sir, have clearly been busy. Great job on the route, as it will no doubt be my favorite for a long time to come.

Merry Christmas Jerry, and to all of the rest of the folks here as well!

It's been a long haul of only about 25 miles since the Chattanooga - Ooltewah update. In the last couple of weeks though, things have been progressing quite nicely thanks to spec5x's NRD commercial buildings package. Dalton is based on one industry, which is carpet, and most of the buildings in that pack fit the genereic box warehouses that you see everywhere in the city. I've also gotten a little help from MSTS as well. I've already built Dalton once - on the Western & Atlantic route for MSTS - so most of the downtown buildings are conversion of the .dst files from that sim.The Dalton Depot is a conversion of the one I used on the W&A, albeit with completely new textures, add-on parts, and .fx shaders from Railworks.

Dalton, milepost 40, will be the stopping point for this section of the route. I'm going to include the crossover, but that's about it. It's going to be like one of those "tune-in-next time" TV serials from the 1950's unitl section 4.
