These 2 shots remind me of the time I had to do some work at a local water treatment facility. Luckily it was the dead of winter so the smell was less than normal.
We had to replace the motors on the agitators and run new electrical feeds to them because the acid in the water had a tendency to erode certain components, but at this facility the agitators were in the big pond. About 12 of them. They could only shut down one at a time.
When I asked what to do with the old steel conduit we were replacing, the guy said to just throw it in the water. It will take care of 'disposing of it'.
And we had to row out to them in an aluminum boat.
Definitely not a job I'd like to do again, although we did make some good side money from the old wire.
